On Saturday 7th December we were formally presented with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - the country's highest accolade for volunteer community groups and the equivalent of an MBE for organisations! We would like to thank everyone for making the day so special, particularly all the community groups and organisations who came along to share with us and support the work of the CSP Youth centre.
The formal citation states that the Queen's Award is granted to the Chalfont St Peter Youth Club for "Enabling young people to flourish in the development of their mental, physical, social and spiritual growth through community engagement."
What that really means is a big THANKS for all the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers down the years, who keep the Youth Centre going and make it a fun and safe place to be!
Thank you to the Community partners who support us:
- Chalfont St Peter Parish Council
- Chalfonts Forum
- Goldhill Baptist Church
- Thames Valley Police
- Rotary Club GX and CSP
- Fineland Forestry Ltd

We are so pleased to be able to announce that the CSP Youth Centre has now been awarded the AQYP silver level of the Quality Mark (Assured Quality for Youth Projects). This builds on the bronze award achieved in 2010. Gary Hartin the Head of Quality Standards said:
"A great team that the young people should be proud of and is why CSP Youth rightly deserve to be awarded the silver level of the AQYP quality mark.
Well done everyone!
